Jeremy Inglesia, Jr.

This week I reached out to Jeremy Inglesia, Jr. with Hanna Solutions in McAllen, Texas. Jeremy started out with Silent Images in Charlotte, NC before he established Handiwork Media. He has since moved to Texas to work with Hanna Solutions. I am grateful for Jeremy’s willingness to share his experience with me was a photographer, videographer, and drone pilot.

Rhett: Where is the need for aerial photography in the market today?

Jeremy: I think you could find work with residential real estate, although the margin may be low. You might also try high school sports.

Rhett: I’ve been wondering recently if having a drone is enough. Do you think it’s becoming just another tool in the toolbox at this point?

Jeremy: Yes. People want videography and photography. Having a drone by itself is going to limit your ability to get work. Pick up a DSLR and learn how to use it to broaden your reach. You have to go where the market demands. Either you meet a current need in the market or you create a new need to meet that people didn’t know they had until you created it.

Rhett: I had a friend suggest pursing commercial real estate brokers. Do you think that would be viable?

Jeremy: Yes. Commercial real estate photos are often outdated. I think you could find a good bit of work by researching current listings, determining if the photos are out of date, and offering to shoot new ones.

Rhett: Jeremy, thanks so much for your time and advice. I really appreciate it.

Jeremy: Any time! Feel free to call again if anything else comes up.
